A beautiful sketch from Page maps....and with Christmas that has just passed, I couldn't resist. Matthew and Emily had two favorite toys they opened for Christmas. One from Mom and Dad, the other from Santa....I guess we all did well in picking the right gift!!!
Thanks for giving me the inspiration. Although I did not have little clothes pin, I used Christmas colour brads, and instead of the admit tickets, I substitued stockings.....The clothes lines, I sewed, and this really makes the page jump in my opinion.....

Christmas Eve Exchanging Gifts.

A sketch from Sketchy Thursday that inspired me to complete a Christmas page of Matthew and Emily exchanging their gifts. Thanks for allowing me to play along!

We never did this, but now that you are older, Christmas Eve is a perfect night to exchange gifts with each other. You both knew exactly what the other would like.....and your smiles were priceless.

PLAY with Sketchy Thursday

8.11 sketch challenge
I love SKETCHY THURSDAY sketches and blog. I have been following and trying to get the weekly challenge completed. Even if not done by the Wednesday, I know that I can get a layout done with the superb sketches they post. This sketch is no exception. I loved the fun layout, and thought it perfect for my son blowing bubbles. The Seasons' paper from Crate was perfect. Hope you like it as much as I loved creating it.....the stitching helped to pull the layout together!!!

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

I am loving the Sketchy Thursday Blog! I have been trying to look at it weekly, and try to make a layout based on their sketch. It isn't just about the great prizes, it is about getting great pages done!!!! I used this week's sketch to produce this layout of Emily in Senior Kindergarten!!!!

I altered the sketch a little, turning it around, and placing it on an angle. I also used the Basic Grey Recess collection which works well with school pictures. Can't wait to add this page to her school book......

What an awesome day

Here is another page of Matthew. He had so much fun helping dad with the fence last summer...what a better way to capture the moment!

Here is Emily Trying Sushi with chopsticks. Unlike Matthew, Emily struggled a bit with them.

But it really doesn't matter how we eat the sushi. It tastes yummy either way.......and definately something that we loved to have every now and than!

CARTWHEEL, Its all in the DETAILS

I love all the sketches and the ideas on pagemaps. Not only do the sketches bring me inspiration, they allow me to get away, and begin to show my creativity. When I saw this sketch, I knew the exact pictures that I wanted to use! Emily loves her gymnastics, and at a very young age, started to practice her Cartwheels in the yard! The pix I used, helps to show the sequence of a cartwheel, and how the body rotates. The paper from Echo Park, Summer Days helped to bring the page to life. I also HAD TO USE Emily's favorite colour purple as the background. The sun was brought to life by a button in the middle, and to frame the page, I used stitching.

I love PAGEMAPS, their sketches and contests! I had SOO MUCH fun doing this layout! What a great layout to display the CHAMPIONS IN MY EYES!!!

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

I love to create a layout with sketches.....this one is no exception! I found the perfect pictures of Emily skipping rocks during the summer of 2009. 'Lime Rickey' paper from Basic Grey made for the perfect paper to add a little extra something to this layout.

How I love to be inspired from GREAT sketches...this has been ONE OF MY Favorites yet!!!! The pictures of my baby doll fit perfectly, and the BLISS collection from Crate Paper was PERFECT! A special touch with my own hand stitching, and pearls around the face, and on the border....to add some elegance. I hope you like it!
